Rein Strijker is the CEO of the 2013-founded company VitalNext. The aim of VitalNext was to address the issue of muscle mass and function loss among aging individuals. By applying expertise and knowledge from the field of life sciences, the company was able to develop a medical nutrition supplement that has shown significant clinical improvements in malnourished patients.

Wouter Strijker is a business development manager at the leading biotechnology company MIMETAS. MIMETAS BV was founded in 2013 and develops organ-on-a-chip tissue models for evaluating drugs, chemicals and food components. Wouter obtained his Master degree from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and before starting at MIMETAS he spent his time as an advisor at HollandBIO.

Berend van Meer is a post-doc at the Leiden University Medical Center working on Organ-on-Chip research and translation. Berend obtained his Master at the Delft University of Technology in micro electrical engineering. Besides his work at the LUMC, he is also a co-founder of TIM solutions and an executive board member of hDMT (human organ and disease model technology) Organ-on-Chip Consortium.
