Automating insect control for horticulture
Bram Tijmons (Founder)
PATS Indoor Drone Solutions enables greenhouse farmers to significantly reduce and eliminate flying insect pest populations, without the limitations of other (non)chemical alternatives.
We develop autonomous insect control solutions, based on micro drones, which can be deployed within existing greenhouse infrastructure.
Our solution helps to reduce costs of labour and products, involved in the crop protection process, while simultaneously reducing losses due to infected plants and crops.
Joost Vos (Founder)
TXT INSIGHT was founded in 2017 to develop intelligent text analysis systems that function as smart assists side by side with humans. Our company distinguishes itself through a clear focus on natural language processing (NLP) and the application of proven artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
From pathophysiology to predictions using AI
Hine van Os (PhD Candidate)
Hine is aiming to realize a pilot-implementation by the end of his PhD research. If it were up to him, general practitioners will be working with automated risk analyses to better prevent strokes in women, based on his work and his collaboration with other research groups. "It is with collaboration between different research groups, also active within Leiden University and the LUMC, that one can really make an impact." This impact is what Hine is working hard for.
